What does the role of commercial business consultant entail?
As a commercial business consultant at Agri Information Partners, you will work on the sale of our product Mercado. “So why not just call it a sales function?” The reason is that knowledge of customer processes is vital. We aim to think along with our customers, so we are able to advise them properly about solutions that offer substantive added value. Hence the addition of “business consultant”.
What kind of company is Agri Information Partners?
We are a unique partner for agricultural businesses in the development of IT solutions.
We pride ourselves on our extensive knowledge of the sector, but our connection with the culture of our customers is at least as important. Within the agricultural field, we have over the years specialized to cater to the plant breeding sector.
And what is Mercado?
Mercado is a cloud solution to support the product management of plant varieties.
Breeding companies develop varieties and position them in all kinds of different markets. Plant breeders grow young plants of these varieties and growers or grower organizations turn those young plants into beautiful finished products.
Managing variety information is very important for all parties in this supply chain. What are the characteristics of a particular variety? How does it perform under different conditions and how does it compare to other varieties?
Mercado helps companies collect, analyze and distribute this information. This allows them to better position their varieties in the market.
What do we expect from you?
As a commercial business consultant, you are able to systematically develop the international market for Mercado. You have an existing network in the Mercado market segments or are able to build one. You are familiar with the breeding and cultivation process.
To develop your network, regular visits to international fairs and conferences will be part of your regular tasks. You speak and write Dutch and English fluently and you possess at least a bachelor degree.
